Porno Photoshopping

There a porn blog called "The Man of the Evening" that recently linked to me. I view it as quite a complement, because I'd been thinking about writing about this guy already. His M.O. is that he photoshops porn men into postcard type landscapes with meticulous care. And if you've ever tried it, its pretty damn hard. My one and only attempt was something I called my "Ultimate Men's Health" cover. It combined Jason Statham and Ryan Reynold's respective covers with pictures of Chris Evans and Scott Styles (who I wish had been in Men's Health). I think I did okay for a novice:

It took forever though, and I soon lost interest.
The guy who does this blogs puts me to shame.

Todd Maxwell

Todd Maxwell make his promising debut in my DVD collection in "Perfect Fit", a modern classic. His scene with Hal Rodman where he gets reamed in a jockstrap in the back of a pick-up is one of favorites of all time (I could only find very low res pics from that scene, but I put in a direct link to the movie itself at Maleflixx at the very end of this post). By the way, If you're not familiar with Hal Rodman, he's the "unknown comic" of gay porn--despite a career spanning several decades, he always appears with a hat and/or sunglasses on. I guess he's worried about his day job at ReMax.
Anyhow, Todd made a smattering of movies with all the big studios but never fully lived up to his potential in my eyes. He had a good scene with Dave Angelo in "Hog: The Leather File" and a another one in "Drill" (as a partially convincing top). He did the all the right things: a Colt calendar, a few magazine covers, interviews...but somehow he was like the Jeb Bush of porn to me--not quite the golden boy he was supposed to be.
I think he's retired now, leaving a mostly respectable if not amazing oeuvre and a reputation as a power bottom. Just like Jeb.
