Lane Fuller was a bit of a trendsetter in the mid 2000's by re-inventing himself as a hairy chested butch queen after building a career as a twinky bottom. Rusty Stevens and Tommy Defendi have pulled the same makeover trick lately. And it works for me every time. I never really cared for him as a twink, but I noticed his new look immediately.
When "Hard Mechanics" came out I pre-ordered it, largely because I knew he had a scene with one of my all time favs, Chris Steele. Plus "the garage" is one of my favorite porn cliches, second only to "the locker room" and maybe "sexy pool boy/man". Also Jack Radcliffe was in it--I believe as his last porno film. Other than Carlo Cox, I thought the rest of the cast was pretty standard fare...but good for them trying to get a porn all star cast together. How really could it fail with all those hotties?
Short answer: I don't know how but it did. Its not that it sucks--I've seen movies 1000% worse--its just that I was expecting so much. Jack Radcliffe is poorly utilized in a 3 way. Carlo Cox is paired with odd hair-styled Jordan West. And the scene with Chris and Lane is prop heavy but lacking in heat. If nothing else I give props to guy who did the ad campaign. It made it seem like a super hot movie.
